BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed after being struck by a vehicle in December 2025 as 40-year-old Rajinder Singh Bhullar of Bakersfield.

The California Highway Patrol said on December 18, 2025, at around 6:25 p.m., officers were called to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway 99 at White Lane.
CHP said a preliminary investigation found that a man was in the northbound lanes of traffic when a white Mercedes SUV traveling in the number three lane of Highway 99, just north of White Lane, struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, later identified as Bhullar, died at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes was not hurt and cooperated with investigating officers.
