Matt Mahan (D): Mayor of San Jose

Katie Porter (D): Former Congressmember

Tom Steyer (D): Billionaire environmentalist

Eric Swalwell (D): Congressmember

Tony Thurmond (D): State Superintendent

Antonio Villaraigosa (D): Former Mayor of LA

Betty Yee (D): Former state Controller

In California’s “jungle primary,” the top two vote-getting candidates advance to the November general election, regardless of party affiliation.
