SEATTLE – The Beach Dawgs head to Standford, Calif., for the Stanford Invitational on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14.

The Huskies open tournament play Friday against No. 16 North Florida at 11:00 a.m. PT, followed by a matchup against No. 2 Stanford 5:00 p.m. PT.
On Saturday, Washington faces Houston Christian at 10:00 a.m. PT before closing the weekend against No. 11 Long Beach State at 2:00 p.m. PT.
Last weekend the Huskies wrapped up a tough Los Angeles weekend with four duals across two days, falling to No. 5 Texas, No. 2 UCLA, No. 13 LSU, and No. 10 California to move to 6-6 overall on the season.
Washington opened the weekend on Friday at Mapes Beach against Texas, where the Longhorns earned straight-set victories on all five courts to take the 5-0 dual. Later that day, the Huskies faced UCLA, and the Bruins also earned a 5-0 victory, handing Washington two challenging losses on the opening day.
The Huskies returned to the sand Saturday morning at Merle Norman Stadium for a ranked matchup against LSU. Washington picked up wins on courts three and five, with Niki Egan and Mariana Tomasova earning a straight-set victory, while Avery Towne and Alina Urzua battled to a three-set win. LSU ultimately secured the dual with wins on three courts.
Washington closed the weekend against California in another tight matchup. Ella Tyus and Sarah Wilcock delivered the Huskies’ first point with a 26-24, 21-12 win on court four, and Towne and Urzua pushed their match to three sets on court five. California secured the dual with wins on courts one through three.
North Florida enters the weekend with a 9-3 overall record, while Stanford boasts a 12-2 mark. Houston Christian comes in at 1-10, and Long Beach State holds a 7-3 record.

The Huskies travel to Moraga, Calif., for the SMC Spring Fling, beginning Saturday, March 21. They open the tournament against Saint Mary’s at 11:00 a.m. PT, followed by a showdown with No. 1 Pacific at 3:00 p.m. PT. On Sunday, March 22, Washington faces Pacific again at 9:00 a.m. PT before wrapping up the slate against Saint Mary’s at 3:00 p.m. PT.
