CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) — The long-awaited lazy river at Wild Water Adventure Park is moving closer to completion.

On Thursday, the park revealed the attraction’s official name: Lost River Adventure.

Action News was given a guided tour of the 1,000-foot attraction, which park officials say will feature a jungle theme.

The experience is designed to immerse visitors in themed sights and sounds as they float along the river.

Park managers said the project has been years in the making, driven largely by “popular demand” for a lazy river addition.

General Manager Jimmy Holmes described the work as a major investment for the park.

“It’s the largest expansion we have done in many, many years… in the future,” Holmes said.

Construction is ongoing. Park officials say they hope to open Lost River Adventure by Memorial Day weekend.
