WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Ten apartment occupants have been left without a living space after a fire on Wednesday, March 11, according to the West Sacramento Fire Department.

West Sacramento Firefighters found the Courtyard Village Apartments apartment fully engulfed in flames. Using ladders and vertical ventilation, responders were able to control the burn and eventually put it out with water alongside the Sacramento Fire Department.

No injuries were reported and all residents were able to escape the fire safely, but 10 residents were displaced as a result.

The Red Cross assisted the families that were displaced and the managers of the apartment said other units may be available for the residents to move into in the meantime.

The cause of the fire has not been identified at the time of publication and is still actively being investigated.
