Two people went to a hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds after a shooting near Sunnyslope and Lindale in Sacramento County.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Two people are recovering after deputies responded to reports of gunfire early Friday morning in Sacramento County.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called around 3:45 a.m. to the area near Sunnyslope Drive and Lindale Drive after receiving reports of gunshots.
While deputies were on their way to the scene, authorities learned that an adult man and an adult woman had arrived at a nearby hospital with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.Â
Officials said the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. The vehicle the pair arrived in also had what appeared to be bullet holes, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded to the reported shooting location to investigate and are continuing to interview the victims.
Authorities said no information about the suspect or possible motive has been identified. The investigation remains ongoing.
