SAN JOSE — Two men are dead after a shooting east of downtown late Thursday, police said.
The gunfire was reported at 10:11 p.m. in the 700 block of East Santa Clara Street, near South 15th Street in the city’s Naglee Park neighborhood, according to the San Jose Police Department. Responding officers arrived to find two wounded men, both whom died at the scene.
Additional details were not immediately released. Police said East Santa Clara Street between South 14th and South 16th streets were expected to be closed for most of Friday morning while investigators examine the crime scene, and advised motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.
