BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Silver Alert has been activated for a 68-year-old Bakersfield woman reported missing Friday.

Authorities throughout Kern County are asking for help to locate Carmen Romero.

Romero was last seen March 13 at around 8 a.m. in the 1800 block of Julian Avenue, the Bakersfield Police Department said. She is considered to be at-risk because of her age and an unspecified medical condition, according to a release.

Romero is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 149 pounds. She has brownish, reddish hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black cardigan, pink T-shirt, jeans and black slippers.

The Silver Alert was issued by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the Bakersfield Police Department.
