The Jazz shot the basketball at a great level as they were able to go 48-of-87 (55.2%) from the field, 17-of-44 (38.6%) from distance, and 20 trips to the free-throw line. Center Walker Kessler led the offense in this game with 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two steals, and four blocks. This was a game where the defense stepped up as they allowed the Clippers to post a team shooting split of 44.3/31.1/76.2.
Utah’s top pick Ace Bailey played 20 minutes off the bench and scored two points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out two assists.
The Utah Jazz are in a position where they are looking to be a threat as they have a young team that could be able to be competitive. With the team having a core group of guys and a bench that can be a factor, the Jazz are in a position to surprise a lot of people this season.

The Sacramento Kings are coming off a tough 120-116 road loss against the Phoenix Suns to open the season as they blew a 20-point lead. The team was able to play at a strong level offensively as they finished shooting 47-of-94 (50.0%) from the field, 9-of-24 (37.5%) from beyond the arc, and attempted 23 free throws. Shooting guard Zach LaVine was able to lead the way as he finished with 30 points, two rebounds, and one assist in 35 minutes of action. Veteran point guard Dennis Schroder scored 14 points and dished out seven dimes. Their defense struggled as Phoenix shot 45-of-95 (47.4%) overall, 10-of-34 (29.4%) from three, and allowed 28 free throws.
The Sacramento Kings are looking to use their experience to lead them to success, specifically in the backcourt. Even with the injuries to some key contributors, this Sacramento team could be a team that is a tough 48 minutes to go up against.
Injury Report for Sacramento
Power forward Isaac Jones: Illness (Questionable) Center Domantas Sabonis: Hamstring (Questionable) Power forward Keegan Murray: Thumb (OUT) Utah Jazz at Sacramento Kings PickSpread Pick for Jazz vs. Kings
When looking at how the first game of the season went for both teams, there is a clear distinction between how they performed. The injury to Domantas Sabonis is going to be a factor, and the offense looked a bit lost at times without him being able to dictate things. He’s also dominant on the glass. Sacramento has some experienced guards with names like LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Russell Westbrook, but the youth of Utah is going to be a major factor in this game, and they started the year off strong. The Kings were able to shoot the basketball at an outstanding level in the opening game, and that should help build momentum. All in all, go with the Utah Jazz getting a handful of points to cover the spread on the road.
Over/Under Pick for Jazz vs. Kings
Both teams have a lot of offensive weapons that can easily take advantage of the ability to score against lesser defensive teams. With Domantas Sabonis officially listed as questionable for this game, this gives an excitement as he could make his season debut in this game. Both teams shot incredibly well as a team to begin the year as Utah is shooting 55.2% from the floor while Sacramento connected on 50.0% as a whole. Neither team is known for being strong defensively, so do not be surprised to see these teams score at a great level, so go with OVER 232.5 POINTS here.
