Another sunny and warm day is on tap for Northern California with temperatures 10-15 degrees above normal. Sunday is expected to be even warmer with many Valley locations reaching highs in the low 80s.

Despite the warm air temperatures, rivers and lakes are still very cold and swimming is not advised. To put in perspective, community pools are generally kept in the 70s with low 80s being considered warm… area lakes and rivers are currently in the 50s.

Pollen counts are still quite high and now it’s not just the tree pollens we need to worry about, grass pollens are in mix too.

Temperatures warm even more as a ridge of high pressure sits overhead next week. We will likely tie and break records and may even break monthly records.

There are still no rain or snow chances in the 7-day forecast, but as the high moves out next weekend, we may see a change in the pattern with cooler temperatures and slight chances for precipitation.
