BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) –The 26th annual Leaders in Life conference took place at the Dignity Health Convention Center Thursday.
This yearly get together has impacted thousands of young lives over the past two decades.
Several workshops were held to teach students how to become strong leaders and good decision-makers.
“I think my favorite part about seeing the kids is seeing them realize that they have a voice, and their voice matters, and that they’re not too young. You can be any age and make an impact on anybody,” said student Siena Martinez.
Students also heard from keynote speaker Taes Leavitt.
The content creator stresses the importance of properly expressing feelings to improve confidence, assertiveness and reduce anxiety.
1,500 students attended Thursday’s conference.
