Police are searching for the person who stabbed and killed a man early Saturday in Lancaster, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The stabbing was reported at 4:36 a.m. on the 400 block of East Lancaster Boulevard, LASD said. The victim, who was only described as a man, was taken to a nearby hospital and ultimately died.

Further details on the deceased, such as his name and approximate age, were not released. It’s unclear what led to the violence.

A description of a possible suspect was not provided.
