
One person is dead and one person is injured in a shooting that happened early Sunday morning along Auburn Boulevard in Sacramento.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at around 12 a.m. to reports of an individual who had possibly been shot near the 4400 block of Auburn Boulevard.
Deputies located a male victim and a female victim who had been hit by gunfire while inside a vehicle. Both were given medical aid, and the male victim was transported to a local hospital. The female victim was pronounced deceased.
The Sheriff’s Office said there is no suspect information at this time and that there were numerous potential witnesses on scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 916-874-5115.
