An investigation is underway after a 15-year-old boy was shot on Saturday at Dockweiler Beach, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The shooting was reported at about 7 p.m. near the 11400 block of Vista del Mar. There, a fight broke out near the victim and at least one gunshot was fired. The victim realized he was the one who was struck, LAPD said.
Just after the gunfire, the suspects fled the scene before first responders arrived. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he’s described as being in stable condition.
A description of the gunman was not immediately available. It’s unclear what led up to the fight.
