At least one person died after a fiery collision on the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles overnight, authorities confirm.
Preliminary information indicates that the crash occurred along the north span of the freeway near 6th Street around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
The Los Angeles Fire Department verified that the incident involved three vehicles, including one that was “well-involved” with flames when firefighters got to the area.

LAFD said that crews transported one crash victim to a hospital in critical condition while another succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Video taken shortly after the incident that was obtained by KTLA shows one of the cars involved completely engulfed in flames as it sat upside down in the roadway.
A SigAlert was issued for the northern span of the 101 through the downtown area but has since been canceled.
It was not known right away what caused the collision.
