The Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay is well known for its comfortable rooms and luxurious accommodations, but what makes it stand out is the dramatic ocean bluffs it faces. The hotel is nestled on the coast, with a gorgeous golf course facing the ocean that draws players across the country. The massive resort has over 250 rooms, a spa, tennis courts, and multiple dining options for guests. The main restaurant, Navio, offers a contemporary menu in the elegant dining room. You can also check out The Conservatory for a more casual dining option, complete with a chic bar.
The best ocean view is at the Ocean Terrace outside the hotel, overlooking the bluffs and golf course. You can cozy up by one of the fire pits and take in the view while eating a casual meal or sipping a decadent hot chocolate. The Ritz-Carlton sits at the southern end of a scenic walking trail called the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail. The 7-mile trail is mostly paved and flat, perfect for a leisurely stroll or bike ride to enjoy the iconic views.

The hotel is only an hour outside of San Francisco, but it acts as an oasis perfect for outdoor activities. Guests can surf, kayak, or go horseback riding through the meadows or on the scenic beaches. Half Moon Bay also has a charming town, with a historic Main Street offering shops and restaurants for visitors to explore.
