Five-story project on Robertson Boulevard will include 12 apartments and ground-floor retail.

Construction is advancing on a mixed-use development across from the Metro E Line’s Culver City Station that will combine new housing with office space for a local engineering and construction firm, as reported by Urbanize Los Angeles.

The project, located at 3727 S. Robertson Blvd., is being developed by Icon West Inc., which plans to locate its headquarters in the building once construction is complete.

Plans call for a five-story structure featuring roughly 5,000 square feet of office space for the company, along with 12 two-bedroom apartments above ground-floor retail. The development will also include about 1,700 square feet of commercial space and parking for 23 vehicles.

City approval for the project requires that three of the apartments be reserved for tenants at below-market rental rates.

Architectural firm BOLADarck designed the building, which will be finished with painted stucco and brick. Renderings show an L-shaped atrium carved into the upper levels, bringing light into the residential floors.

The design also includes an outdoor amenity deck overlooking Robertson Boulevard for residents and tenants. The development sits directly across from the Culver City Station on the Metro E Line, providing immediate access to regional rail service connecting Santa Monica, Culver City, and Downtown Los Angeles.
