A man was arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle in San Francisco, the city’s police department said Friday.
Authorities report 32-year-old Kevin Santos was arrested on suspicion of driving or taking vehicle without consent, receiving stolen vehicle, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of methamphetamine for personal use and resisting arrest.
Police said officers were advised of a stolen vehicle in the area of Bryant Street and The Embarcadero just before 11 a.m.
According to officials, responding officers found the vehicle in the area of Main and Harrison streets and said they were able to disable the vehicle. Authorities add officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to yield, initiating a pursuit.
During the pursuit, the vehicle entered the freeway and eventually came to a stop on the Bay Bridge, according to police. Officials add the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the San Francisco County Jail.
