A Southern California man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Hudson Ranch Road Saturday.
The Kern County Coroner said Richard Joel Eckelman, 74, of Los Alamitos was killed when his car left the roadway and overturned on Hudson Ranch Road two miles south of Klipstein Canyon Road.
Eckelman was apparently the only person in the vehicle.
The incident was reported at 12:55 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
