FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Caught on camera! Another large unmarked airplane was spotted circling the airport in Fresno on Sunday.
The Navy Boeing E-6B Mercury, known as a ‘Doomsday Plane,’ spent about 30 minutes flying unusually low near the airport.
It’s unclear what the plane was doing in the area or where it came in from, but this will be the fourth unmarked airplane seen around the Valley.

Last weekend, another E-6B Mercury was spotted circling Fresno and making several mock landings at the airport.
The E-6B Mercury was nicknamed the ‘Doomsday Plane’ because of its ability to survive a nuclear war and coordinate a US military response.
It was followed by a sighting of a Navy Boeing P-8 Poseidon or ‘Submarine Hunter‘ last Tuesday.
