A Grosse Pointe man is facing charges in three home invasions in Bloomfield Township and Rochester Hills, where jewelry valued at thousands of dollars was allegedly stolen, officials said.

Theodore Goolsby, 54, is also suspected in other home invasions in Oakland County, officials said. As an investigation continues, more criminal charges could be issued against him — but for now Goolsby is facing four counts of home invasion. He’s held in the Oakland County Jail, with bond set at $1.5 million out of two jurisdictions.

According to the Bloomfield Township Police Department, Goolsby is accused of breaking into a home in the 4300 block of Chisholm Trail on March 11 and the 5100 block of Windingwood Drive on Dec. 19, 2025, where approximately $22,400 in jewelry was reported stolen.

He was under investigation for the December home invasion when he allegedly broke into the Chisholm Trail residence — a crime interrupted when the homeowner returned that day at around 3:30 p.m. Goolsby fled but was pulled over by members of the Troy Special Investigations Unit soon after and arrested, police said.

Jewelry reported stolen from the March home break-in was recovered from his car, police said.

Bond for the two Bloomfield Township cases is set at $1 million.

Goolsby is also charged with second-degree home invasion for a Feb. 23 break-in in Rochester Hills. Bond for that case is set at $500,000.

He’s scheduled to return to court next week — March 24 in 48th District Court, and March 26 in 52-3 District Court.

The Troy Special Investigations Unit includes detectives from Birmingham, Bloomfield Township, Royal Oak, and Troy police departments.
