Almond acres are still in demand on Fresno County’s westside, as a recent roundup of farm sales shows.
Recently, Central Valley Ag Partners Ranch 7 LLC sold a 152-acre almond ranch for $2.5 million to Russell Avenue Ranch LLC, a family owned farming company.
Central Valley Ag Partners is an agriculture investment firm based in Newport Beach with an office in Fresno. Its website says its mission is to “selectively acquire, develop, and farm almond, pistachio and citrus orchards that we believe will deliver above-average crop yields and provide attractive returns to our investors.”
Other notable land sales include 738 acres in east Fresno County that was sold for $2.5 million to several family trusts.

All the farmland tracked by The Bee was within the Williamson Act, a state classification that provides tax breaks to landowners who agree to keep their land in farming or open space for 10 years. The land can be sold, but the new owner is bound by its terms.
