Get ready for Bluey’s Best Day Ever

The Fantasyland Theater will host Bluey’s Best Day Ever. Photo courtesy Disney.

Disneyland is a week away from an Australian invasion, as Bluey and family arrive at the Fantasyland Theater next week for an all-new adventure.

Bluey’s Best Day Ever is similar to recent activations in the Fantasyland Theater, like the “Pixar Pals Playtime Party” during Pixar Fest and “Holiday Fun with Santa and Friends” during the holiday season. It’s not a show as much as an all-day event, with a wide variety of activities and experiences.

Disney says the theater has been “reimagined as the grounds of Bluey’s school,” and will feature stage performances, dance moments, games, photo opportunities and more. Bluey and Bingo will appear at set times throughout the day, but the schedule has not yet been released.

If you have a Bluey-obsessed child, plan to spend an hour or more here in order to see and do everything. Disney has published a “Know Before You Go” guide to the new offering, which tells us they’re expecting large crowds. Keep an eye on the Disneyland app for operating hours and show schedules to be added closer to Sunday’s opening.

Food and beyond

A menu of Bluey-themed treats will be available starting March 22 at locations in Disneyland. We’ve detailed the new offerings in this Instagram video.

Garden Grove hotels to launch new Disneyland shuttles

With the announced shutdown of the Anaheim Resort Transit system effective in just two weeks, the City of Garden Grove and the Garden Grove Tourism Improvement District have unveiled their plans for a new service to provide shuttles between 10 Garden Grove hotels and the Disneyland Resort. The new system will begin operation by the last week of March, and will cost “a small fee per guest.”

Anaheim Regional Transportation (ART) shuttle service will end at the end of this month. MousePlanet file photo.

A new shuttle service will offer transportation to the Disneyland Resort for guests of 10 Garden Grove hotels.

The participating Garden Grove hotels include:

• Sheraton Garden Grove – Anaheim South
• Hyatt Regency Orange County
• Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South
• Delta Hotels by Marriott Anaheim Garden Grove
• Anaheim Marriott Suites
• Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim/Garden Grove
• Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim-Main Gate Area
• Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area/Garden Grove
• Great Wolf Lodge Southern California
• Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim/Garden Grove

9 of the hotels on the new Garden Grove shuttle network are clustered around the intersection of Harbor Blvd. and Chapman Ave.

The groups say the “Shuttles will operate throughout the day with frequent service, providing hotel guests with easy access to the Disneyland Resort transit hub.”

Looking at a map of the hotels on the line, they are all off Harbor Blvd., and most are clustered around the intersection of Harbor and West Chapman. The outlier is the Great Wolf Lodge, which is around 3 miles south of Disneyland.

But what about Anaheim?

The announcement from Garden Grove is good news for visitors planning spring break stays in that city, but highlights that the Anaheim has yet to announce a similar plan to service hotels in their city. While Disneyland has said that there will be continued shuttle service from the Toy Story parking area to the Disneyland Resort, nothing has been announced about a replacement service for the Anaheim hotels.

There are quite a few of Disneyland’s “Good Neighbor” hotels which aren’t in reasonable walking distance from the resort, and whose guests rely on the ART shuttles for transportation to the parks. Once ART ends operation, those guests will need to rely on personal transportation, rental cars or ride share to get around the Resort. Each option comes with expenses – gas, hotel and theme park parking, car rental fees, ride share fares, tips – that add to the cost of a vacation.

Anaheim Transportation Network considers its options

As the ART shutdown looms, the Orange County Register reports that the Anaheim Transportation Network is looking at options for divesting its assets, which include two commercial properties and 74 busses.

We also recommend checking the convention calendar at the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. When looking at that site, remember to note both the number of people and the number of rooms resulting from each convention. A gathering of 25,000 people booking few room nights (indicating most will be driving in to the area for their meeting) can impact traffic around the resort much more than a crowd of 25,000 staying in area hotels. Of course, that second group is going to make finding a hotel room more difficult (and possibly more expensive), so it’s best to book your own room as early as possible if you see that a big convention is in town during your trip.

Tickets, Discounts and Promotions

Disneyland prices as of October 8, 2025.

Note: MousePlanet does not edit past Updates to reflect price increases; for up-to-date prices, check the most recent Disneyland Resort Update. Several current promotions offer discounted admission to the Disneyland Resort. For your convenience, we have grouped the discount offers based on the number of days the tickets are valid. Check out the category that best matches the amount of time you plan to spend at the resort, and pick the offer that works best for you. And keep those tips coming—let us know if you find a better or different offer, so we can share it with other readers!

This first section is a list of discounts on ticket-only purchases. Though it has become more common in recent years, Disneyland tickets are rarely offered at deep discounts unless you are a resident of Southern California or Northern Mexico. For residents outside that area, the best discounts available tend to be simple advance purchase discounts. If you know of any additional discounts, offers, promotions, or contests that should be listed in this section, drop us a line. Note, we are no longer listing offers from the Anaheim-Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, as their convenience fee negates any savings.

Don’t get scammed! Never buy tickets from an unofficial or secondary outlet, such as through eBay or Craigslist. Never rent or purchase tickets from people approaching you outside the gates stating they have remaining days or leftover tickets. This practice is against the terms of use for Disneyland admission, and may result in denial of entry. It is also common for criminals to shoplift inactivated Disney theme park tickets from supermarkets to resell them. There is no way to determine if these tickets are valid until you try to use them to enter the parks. Only purchase Disney theme park tickets directly from Disney, an authorized seller, or travel agency like MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

Save even more when you purchase the California Resident Park Hopper ticket from MousePlanet travel partner Get Away Today.

California Resident Park Hopper Ticket

The California Resident Park Hopper ticket is $249, a savings of more than 50% when compared to the new price ($526) of a 3-day park hopper ticket. The ticket is valid for all ages 3 and older, for visits between January 1 through May 21, 2026.

Theme park reservations are required to use this ticket, and we strongly recommend making them as soon as you purchase the ticket so you have the best selection of dates.

The best news is that there is no “fuse” on this ticket, and no blockout dates. You can space out your visits to catch the holiday decorations and entertainment at Disneyland before they end on January 7, return in February for the Lunar New Year celebration, and visit one more time to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival.

It is really important to note that everyone purchasing and/or using the ticket must be a resident of California. This means you can’t purchase them for out-of-state friends and family, and everyone over the age of 18 should be prepared to show government-issued photo ID at entry.

You can make reservations up to 240 days in advance. Fortunately, Disneyland has just released their full 2026 Event and Festival calendar so you can be ready to make reservations for the events you want to attend.

You can change your dates later, but Disney will set aside only a limited number of reservations for this ticket type each day and so you may not be able to get the dates you want later. As with the prior offer, the terms state, “reservation availability for Kids’ Special Offer Ticket holders is not guaranteed for any date, and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches.”
