Roads will close Sunday in the Vineyard neighborhood of south Sacramento as a local Sikh temple celebrates a three-day religious festival.
Gurdwara Sahib, Sacramento Sikh Society, one of the largest Sikh places of worship in the Sacramento region, is hosting its 4th annual Nagar Kirtan. The celebration will take place at 7676 Bradshaw Road.
The parade will begin 10 a.m. Sunday. Road closures will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday and continue throughout the day as the parade continues. Affected roads include Bradshaw Road, Vintage Park Drive, Elk Grove Florin Road and Gerber Road.

“Expect delays along the parade route throughout the morning and early afternoon,” a post from the California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento office advises.
People of all faiths and backgrounds are encouraged to attend, according to the Sacramento Sikh Society’s website.
“Bring your family and friends and come experience the spirit of the Sikh community,” the website reads.
