Trader Joe’s fans, this one’s for you.

The cult favorite grocer is releasing a new batch of its wildly popular reusable canvas totes this month in soft, springtime hues.

Trader Joe’s Public Relations Manager Nakia Rohde told NBC Los Angeles on Tuesday that the Mini Pastel Canvas Totes Bags — which debuted to fan fervor in spring 2025 — will return to neighborhood Trader Joe’s stores in mid-March for a limited time.

“There will not be a specific day the totes will arrive in all Trader Joe’s stores nationwide,” Rohde explained.

So, it’s best to keep a watchful eye on your local store’s shelves.

Rohde said the mini totes will be offered in the same colors as last spring — light blue, light pink, lilac, and teal — and they’ll be priced at $2.99 each.

Here are five things to know about grocery store chain Trader Joe’s.

According to the Trader Joe’s website, the pastel mini bags are 13 inches long, 11 inches tall, and 6 inches wide, “ideal for smaller shopping trips.”

And after this Trader Joe’s bag release, one more goody is coming to stores.

Rohde told NBCLA that the next new bag will be the Trader Joe’s large canvas bag “with lavender handles and a pink logo,” priced at $3.99 per tote.

“It is similar in size and shape to our existing blue canvas bag,” she explained.

Rohde said there is no specific, nationwide release date for the large lavender canvas tote bag, but it is coming soon.

“Each store determines their own merchandising decisions,” she added.

The viral Trader Joe’s totes

For the Trader Joe’s tote bag collectors keeping track, another limited-time version of the mini tote bag caused “Stanley-like chaos” at stores during its release in March 2024. Those mini totes came in classic navy blue, yellow, red, and dark green colors. They went viral again when they returned to stores in fall 2024.

Around Halloween time last year, Trader Joe’s released its Trick-or-Treat Mini Canvas Totes for a limited time in black, orange, and purple tones, plus one that combined all four colors. Fanfare, of course, followed.

In December 2025, the company released its classic large canvas bag in a dark green color.

In all their forms, the branded tote bags have spurred an online resale market over the past couple of years with bags marked up far above their in-store prices.

Rohde said Trader Joe’s does not support the resale of the products.

“We do not condone the reselling of our products and do everything we can to stop it,” she told NBCLA.

Trader Joe’s mini canvas tote bags will be back in stock in April, with new pastel shades available.
