The long and winding road led back to Los Angeles for rock legend Paul McCartney: The superstar announced he will headline two shows later this month at the Fonda Theatre.
The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter will perform an “intimate two-night stand” at the Fonda Theatre on March 27 and March 28.
Registration for a chance to buy tickets via AXS opened on Tuesday (“With a Little Luck” on St. Patrick’s Day, if you will) and closes at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to AXS’ website, the registration process “gives every fan an equal shot at tickets at the artist’s set price — reducing bots and making the process fair from the start.”
Fans can register at any point during the time window without it impacting their chances to be able to purchase tickets. AXS said fans can register one time for both dates.
All registered fans will be sent an email about their statues between March 24 and March 25.
Lucky fans who are selected to buy tickets will be sent an “invitation email,” although AXS did not specify a date range for that email. The invitation email will contain a private, one-time use purchase link tied to the fan’s AXS account.
Still, AXS said that even an invitation email “does not guarantee tickets will be available for purchase.”
McCartney’s concert announcement said tickets are extremely limited, and sales will be limited to two tickets per customer. No tickets will be sold at the Fonda Theatre box office.
The shows will also be a “phone-free experience,” per McCartney’s announcement.
The de Young Museum in San Francisco is currently hosting “Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm,” an exclusive California presentation of more than 250 of McCartney’s personal photos from the height of Beatlemania. This intimate exhibition, on view from March 1 to July 6, 2025, offers a unique, insider’s perspective on The Beatles’ meteoric rise and early tours.
The “Paul McCartney Rocks the Fonda” shows will mark the “Maybe I’m Amazed” singer’s first live performances since the finale of his “Got Back Tour 2025.” That tour opened in Palm Desert but didn’t include a stop in LA.
The Beatles icon brought his “Got Back Tour 2022” to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on May 13, 2022, and his “Freshen Up Tour” to Dodger Stadium on July 13, 2019.
