BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 23-year-old Lindsay man was arrested after deputies say he got a 13-year-old girl pregnant. The girl gave birth at the age of 14.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said on October 8, 2025, they received a report of a 14-year-old girl who had just given birth.
The father of the baby was identified as 23-year-old Gerardo Calleja of Lindsay.
On October 22, 2025, TCSO detectives talked to Calleja and the teen mom. He was taken into custody without incident.
TCSO said further investigation found that Calleja had been in a relationship with the girl since she was between 12 and 13 years old, and she became pregnant at 13.
