SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Myles Kallinger recorded three hits throughout the contest as the University of San Francisco baseball team (9-10) dropped an 8-3 decision to Sacramento State (8-13) Tuesday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Trailing 7-0 in the bottom of the third inning, San Francisco put a run on the board on an RBI single from Eddison Esquivel, scoring Kallinger from second base.
The Dons held the Hornets scoreless before adding a pair of runs in the fourth inning to trim the deficit to 7-3. With two runners on, Wyatt Davis scored on a Zach Nagy groundout before Kallinger added an RBI single later on.
Sacramento State added an insurance run at the top of the fifth and held the green and gold scoreless in the final four frames to secure the victory.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
Kallinger went a perfect three-for-three at the plate, including a double, an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. In the last three games, Kallinger is batting .600 (six-for-10) with two extra base hits and seven RBI.
Trevor Busby earned his first-career start on the mound and allowed three runs on one hit in one inning of work. He also went one-for-four with a double.
Tino Vasell and Esquivel also registered base hits, with Esquivel adding an RBI single in the third inning.
