The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Jamul that occurred early Wednesday morning.

JAMUL, Calif. — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Jamul early Wednesday morning.

The incident took place around midnight in the 16000 block of Loose Creek Road. Deputies said someone attempted to take the shooting victim to the hospital, but ended up pulling into the Alpine Fire Station 17 driveway, where the victim died.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the shooting, or if anyone is under arrest.
