The Ramona Community Singers are preparing their spring concert, “Ramona Does Broadway,” scheduled for May 3, and are inviting members of the community to participate in the performance.
The concert will feature the chorus performing songs from popular Broadway musicals including “Oliver!”, “Chicago”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “South Pacific” and “The Sound of Music”, along with other Broadway favorites.
In addition to the chorus program, the concert will include a Community Talent Spotlight featuring local performers presenting songs from Broadway musicals.
Community members of all ages are invited to participate as soloists, duets, small groups or instrumentalists. Performers should prepare a Broadway selection approximately two to four minutes in length.
A preview session for interested performers will be held Tuesday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the Choir Room at Ramona United Methodist Church, 3394 Chapel Lane.
Singers may perform with live piano accompaniment or a cappella. Recorded accompaniment will not be used.
