SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) — If you have an itch to travel, but don’t know where to go yet, you are in luck!

The Travel & Adventure Show returns to Santa Clara this weekend!

It will held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on Saturday, March 21, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 22, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Angel Castellanos, world travel expert, spoke with ABC7 Eyewitness News’ Frances Wang on “Midday Live” on Wednesday with travel tips.

Here’s what to know

“The world keeps turning… we can’t stop our travels… show up to the airport early. Nothing solves a problem like having enough time,” said Castellanos, who has been traveling during the TSA crisis.

He said this is the week to book summer travel, and said prices are rising, and will continue to do so.

If you have a Europe trip coming up, the new entry-exit system will add time to your trip. Your fingerprint and passport will be scanned, in addition to a picture of your face.

Travelers are being tracked digitally to be eligible to go through the new e-gates and use their passport as a biometric passport, which makes going in and out of the airports in Europe a lot quicker.

Not getting the passport stamped is not the same. Italy is still stamping passports out of kindness, but that will be phased out slowly.

Trending destinations are countries like Georgia, Taiwan and Asia, because the dollar value is strong there. Of course, there is still a lot happening in Europe, for example Italy and France.

Castellanos, known as YouTube Channel The Tour Guy, will be speaking at the Bay Area Travel & Adventure Show.
