FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — A jury has found Malik Nichols guilty in a 2023 double shooting that killed 43-year-old Ibrahim Muhammad in Fresno.

Nichols was found guilty on six counts Wednesday afternoon, including murder, attempted murder and assault with Semi-automatic firearms.

He was accused of shooting Muhammad and a 57-year-old woman in southwest Fresno. Muhammad died, just 25 minutes after dropping his wife off at work. The female victim survived.

Prosecutors have called it a gang-related retaliation for a killing that happened months earlier and said there was a $10,000 bounty.

The jury will now deliberate on Monday for the gang enhancement and Special Circumstance allegation on the murder count.
