$4 million funding for Flat Top Park
Lincoln Heights and Montecito Heights—An environmental group announced it has been awarded $4 million in county funds for work on Flat Top Park. Cypress Park-based North East Trees, which oversees the 37 acres of open space on the border of Lincoln Heights and Montecito Heights, said the funds would pay for various projects, such as removing invasive species, improving watershed health, building wildfire resilience, and creating more than two miles of accessible trails with new entry points from Lincoln Heights, Cypress Park, and Montecito Heights.
