PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. — The University of San Diego men’s golf team finished 13th in the 16-team field at the Pauma Valley Invitational Presented by Heads Up on Monday at Pauma Valley Country Club, posting a three-round total of 10-over-par 862.
 
Ian Maspat paced the Toreros individually, tying for eighth place overall at 5-under-par 208. The junior carded rounds of 69-72-67, with his closing 67 standing as the low round of the tournament among USD golfers. Maspat’s final 18 holes also tied for the low round of the day in the entire field.
 
Reid Piron tied for 41st at 2-over 215 after rounds of 70-72-73, while Reed Arnaldo tied for 65th at 6-over 219 with rounds of 71-70-78. Cooper Humphreys tied for 73rd at 8-over 221 (74-73-74), and You Seong Choi tied for 83rd at 13-over 226 (75-72-79).
 
Playing as an individual, Brady Clark tied for 87th at 15-over 228 after rounds of 75-76-77.
 
Georgia Tech and Tennessee shared the team title at 16-under 836, with LSU and Florida tying for third at 13-under 839. The field included 16 teams and 100 players from programs across the country.
 
William Sides of SMU and Lance Simpson of Tennessee shared medalist honors at 10-under 203.
