Garibaldi: The Mediterranean restaurant Garibaldi is hosting its Taste of Croatia dinner series this weekend. Executive chef Franck Tasic is curating the five-course menu that encompasses a cocktail flight, salad, hot appetizer, main entree and dessert. Some of the food features include a braised short rib with applewood-smoked bacon, risotto with calamari and a vanilla gelato with brown butter pecans. Callie: Guest chef José Luis Hinostroza is taking over Callie’s kitchen for a one-night five-course family-style dinner. The secret menu is anticipated to have food inspired by Mexico’s Yucatán jungle. Hinostoza is a Southern California native and now works in Tulum, Mexico. Rally’s: The drive-thru fast food chain Rally’s is now serving two $5 flatbread meals. The spicy chicken flatbread sandwich comes with spicy chicken patty, American cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and ranch dressing. The bacon burger flatbread sandwich contains a beef patty, bacon, American cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce and a sweet and smoky barbecue sauce. Each flatbread is grilled, and guests can make the flatbread a combo for $1 more with small-sized french fries and a small soft drink.
