Fresno Police confirm one man has died following a shooting in southwest Fresno.

Authorities say the shooting happened Thursday night on East Samson between MLK Jr. Boulevard and Clara Avenue.
When officers arrived, there was a large “disturbance” and a “chaotic scene.” They later learned one man was lying in the street unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers provided medical aid but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say there is no information on a suspect or suspects in this shooting but say there is no threat to the public.
East Samson remains blocked off as police expect to be on scene “for hours.”
