BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office revealed the cause and manner of death for a man who died at a workplace in Wasco.
Cal/OSHA said they were investigating a workplace death reported on January 30, 2026, in Wasco.
According to Cal/OSHA, preliminary information found that the incident happened at Solo Dairy and involved an employee of Wasco Tire Service.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 27-year-old Ronald Amilcar Angel Guardado of Shafter.
The report said Guardado was found unresponsive. The report said the cause of death was determined to be traumatic asphyxia, and the manner of death is accident.
Under California law, Cal/OSHA has up to six months to complete its investigation and issue citations if violations of workplace safety regulations are identified.
