OAKLAND — A person was stabbed in downtown Friday morning, authorities said.

The person’s gender and condition were not immediately available.

The stabbing was reported about 8:55 a.m. Friday in the 1300 block of Broadway. It was not clear if the stabbing happened outside or inside a business.

The person was reportedly stabbed more than once and was transported to a hospital.

A possible motive was not immediately specified. Police did not say if a suspect was arrested.
