A man was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of felony vandalism after he allegedly shattered a glass door at a Smart and Final store, Burbank police tell NBC4 Investigates.
Police responded to the store in the 3700 block of West Burbank Boulevard in Burbank regarding a vandalism call.
Store management reported that a man kicked and shattered the glass after the door would not open for him, then fled the store, police said. Officers then located the suspect nearby, and he was identified by a store employee as the person who kicked and shattered the door, the department said.
The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Phillip Lehman, was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism. Formal charges are pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
