The CSUF Police Department invites students, faculty and staff to participate in its interactive Titan E-Scooter Safety Lab, an engaging, hands-on opportunity to promote safe riding habits while navigating campus and city roadways, on April 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Quad.

In partnership with Hiboy and Lumos, this event brings together industry leaders and campus safety professionals to educate the Titan community on responsible e-scooter use. As e-scooters continue to grow in popularity, understanding how to ride safely is more important than ever. Riders are encouraged to follow the rules of the road, including using campus Pedestrian Only Zones, remaining alert to pedestrians, and wearing proper protective gear, such as helmets.

During the lab, participants will complete a guided obstacle course designed to simulate real-life riding scenarios. CSUF Police personnel will provide step-by-step instructions and supervision, helping riders build confidence and improve their ability to safely navigate common hazards. The course reinforces essential techniques, including controlled braking, maneuvering and situational awareness.

The event will conclude with a raffle at 1 p.m., immediately following the lab. Participants who complete the course will be eligible to win e-scooters, helmets and other prizes provided in part by Hiboy and Lumos. Participants must be present at the time of the drawing to claim their prize.

Whether participants are first-time riders or daily commuters, the Titan E-Scooter Safety Lab offers a valuable opportunity to sharpen skills, learn best practices, and ride safely.
