Missing teen case leads to the arrest of a man

A missing teen case turned into an arrest after the teen was found with a 24-year-old man in a hotel, police say.

A 15-year-old was reported to be missing from Fresno and possibly in Watsonville.

Watsonville police and help from multiple Santa Cruz agencies searched for the missing girl.

They were able to find the girl at a hotel on the 100 block of Airport Boulevard.

However, when they arrived, they also found a 24-year-old man.

The man was identified as Darwin Linares and was arrested at the scene and booked on charges unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

The teen is safe, and the investigation is ongoing.
