Reagan, a talented third grader from Fisler Elementary School, is stepping into the spotlight as she competes in Colossal’s America’s Most Artistic Kid competition. This nationwide initiative not only aims to showcase young artistic talent but also to raise critical awareness and funds for Blood Cancer United—a cause that holds personal significance for many.
Through her participation, Reagan is not merely displaying her artistic abilities; she is harnessing her passion for art to further an important mission. The young artist has described her journey as “profoundly meaningful,” highlighting the sense of community support she has experienced along the way.
Reagan has been cultivating her artistic skills since kindergarten, training at Art Smart in Fullerton under the mentorship of Ms. Kris Cho. She regularly attends classes offered by All the Arts for All the Kids Foundation and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. Her commitment to artistry is evident, and she hopes to leverage any success in the competition to promote awareness of blood cancer.
“My goal is to share her story and to highlight the impact of America’s Most Artistic Kids,” said Melanie, Reagan’s mother. “This story resonates with so many because it connects children of all ages while raising awareness across communities.”
As Reagan continues her artistic journey, she exemplifies a blend of creativity and compassion, showcasing her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the fight against blood cancer.
Colossal’s America’s Most Artistic Kid competition, hosted by David Arquette, is an online voting-based contest for artists aged 6-17 in the U.S. and Canada.
The winner will receive a $20,000 scholarship, a display at the Minnetrista Museum in Muncie, Indiana, and a feature on “The Joy of Painting.” This event supports Blood Cancer United and includes workshops conducted by Certified Ross Instructor Nicholas Hankins.
The competition began public voting on February 16, with a structured timeline for various voting rounds to determine the finalists. Each voting phase will progressively narrow the field of participants, culminating in a finals event scheduled for April, where the “Public Choice Grand Prize Winner” will be announced by May 8.
