(FOX40.COM) — Many students and community members caught the chaotic moments on their cell phones of the homecoming post-game concert with Lil Yachty that was cut short because of “behavior”.
California State University, Sacramento President Luke Wood took to Instagram on Sunday, stating a Lil Yachty concert ended early at Sacramento State on Saturday night due to misconduct.
“The postgame concert concluded earlier than planned due to behavior from some community members (not our students) that did not meet our standards of decorum,” Wood said.
The homecoming, Wood said, was a highly attended game. FOX40 spoke to students on Tuesday, and many said they were disappointed with how it ended.

Officials said that there were over 20,000 people who attended the homecoming game, making it the most attended.
“A lot of people. It was probably the most people I’ve seen on campus in general, ever,” Ethan Constancio, Sacramento State student, said to FOX40.COM.
“During around half time, there was like a little brawl or fight going on the sideline or like near the food stand area,” Abhishek Payroda, Sac State student, said.
Another student told FOX40 that during the game, there was a little brawl that was going on in the sidelines.
Payroda told FOX40 that he believes there were more non-students at the game than there were “actual students.”
Which is when things went in the other direction after the game against the Northern Colorado Bears ended.
The Georgia-based rapper was set to perform after the homecoming game; however, within 8 minutes of the performance, the concert was pulled. That’s when students said the crowd got out of control.
Payroda said, “Actually, a lot of people started jumping the fence as soon as they saw the stage fully set up.”
Constancio stated that everyone was just creating a huge mob.
“As everyone, just created this gigantic mob, they were trying to look for kids, and they’re like, all right, some parents lost their kids, and everyone was just looking for kids,” Constancio said. “Then there were also people just starting fights in the middle of the pit as well.”
The next football game is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. as the Hornets go against the Montana Grizzlies, with another performance set to take place with artist Quavo.
President Wood told the community that a revised plan is being developed for Friday’s concert.
FOX40 did reach out to campus police to get more information about what happened on Saturday; however did not hear back in time.
