San Francisco City Championship

Senior final set; Super Senior title match locked at Harding Park

Todd Doss and Bob Niger advance in the Senior division, while Jeff Thomas and Dean Prince will meet for the Super Senior title.

Championship Sunday is set at the San Francisco City Championship, where two of the tournament’s most competitive brackets have reached their final matches at TPC Harding Park.

After multiple rounds of match play filled with upsets and tight finishes, both the Men’s Senior and Men’s Super Senior divisions are down to their final pairings.

Senior Division: Doss vs. Niger for the championship

The Senior division has delivered one of the most unpredictable brackets of the week, and it will culminate in a final between Todd Doss (13) and Bob Niger (6).

Doss continued his impressive run through the middle of the bracket, knocking off higher seeds along the way and proving to be one of the steadiest players in match play.

On the opposite side, Niger has been equally strong, highlighted by a decisive 4 & 3 victory over Stephen Sear (3) and a clutch 1 up win over Steve Haynes (26) to reach the final.

The matchup sets up a compelling contrast: Doss’ consistency against Niger’s match-play edge, with both players navigating a bracket that eliminated many of the top seeds early.

Super Senior Division: Thomas vs. Prince for the title

The Super Senior division has moved swiftly through match play and now features a championship matchup between Jeff Thomas (4) and Dean Prince (10).

Thomas earned his spot in the final with a strong semifinal performance, defeating top seed Rob Miller (1) 2 up.

On the other side, Prince continued his impressive run by defeating Jim Williams (3) 3 & 2, establishing himself as one of the most dangerous players in the field.

The final pairs a proven contender in Thomas against a surging challenger in Prince, with momentum clearly on both sides heading into Sunday.
