On Sunday, the Sacramento Kings will host the Brooklyn Nets in California.

The Kings are coming off a 139-118 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers (at home).

Russell Westbrook finished the game with 11 points, three rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two blocks while shooting 4/10 from the field and 2/6 from three-point range in 27 minutes of playing time.

Before Sunday’s game, the Kings announced that Westbrook has been ruled out due to a foot injury.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Russell Westbrook (foot) listed out for Sunday.”

Westbrook is in his first year with the Kings after signing with the team in October.

He is averaging 15.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 42.7% from the field and 33.8% from three-point range in 64 games.

The Kings This Season

The Kings have had a very poor season as the 15th seed in the Western Conference with an 18-53 record in 71 games.

They have won four out of their last ten games (and are in the middle of a two-game losing streak).

Following the Nets, the Kings will play their next game on Tuesday night when they visit LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina.

The Kings are coming off a year where they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2025 play-in tournament.

They last made the NBA playoffs during the 2022 season.

The Nets are also having a tough year as the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 17-53 record in 70 games.

They are in the middle of a six-game losing streak (and 2-8 over their last ten).
