Fresno County will host a virtual community workshop Wednesday to gather input on its Safe Streets For All Action Plan, an initiative aimed at reducing traffic fatalities and serious injuries across the county and participating cities, the county said in a news release.
The workshop is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will be simultaneously broadcast in Spanish, the county said.
The action plan, funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s FY 2023 Safe Streets For All (SS4A) grant program, is designed to analyze collision data, identify high-risk locations, and develop targeted safety improvements.
Fresno County officials said the plan will provide a framework for investing in safety projects using multiple funding sources, including the Highway Safety Improvement Program.
The SS4A Action Plan covers all unincorporated areas of Fresno County and the cities of Coalinga, Firebaugh, Kerman, Kingsburg, Mendota, Orange Cove, Reedley, and San Joaquin.
