By News Desk
The meeting will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the Library Community Room at 1115 El Centro Street.
The program is designed to streamline the ADU permitting process by offering ready‑to‑use building plans. These pre‑approved designs aim to reduce design costs and shorten review times for homeowners. The City plans to offer three ADU sizes in architectural styles that reflect the character of South Pasadena’s neighborhoods. A comprehensive ADU Guide will accompany the program, outlining the application process and available resources.
During the meeting, staff from the Community Development Department and the program consultant, Office Of: Office, will lead a focus group to gather community input. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about ADUs, discuss broader housing needs, and explore design elements that could be incorporated into the pre‑approved plans.
Residents who cannot attend are encouraged to share their experiences with ADUs and the current permitting process through an online survey. Additional program details and the survey link are available at southpasadenaca.gov/planning-news.
