A man was critically wounded during a shooting Saturday morning in Long Beach, authorities said.
Officers responded to a shots call in the 400 block of Almond Avenue, near Fourth Street and Cerritos Avenue, at about 12:25 a.m. Saturday located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Paramedics rushed him to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition, but with stable vital signs.
“Motive and circumstances of the shooting as well as suspect information remain under investigation,” according to a police statement.
