SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Drexel golf team finished its second round of the UC San Diego Invitational tied for seventh place after Caleb Taylor shot a 2-under-par 70. Through two rounds at the par 72, 7,258-yard Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, Calif, Taylor is shooting one-under-par 143. The three-round invitational, hosted by UC San Diego, featured five of the 17 teams who finished under-par. Drexel checked in with an even-par in the second round to finish 1-over through two days.

Kevin Lydon finished the second round with an even-par 72 shooting a bogey and two birdies on the front nine and just one bogey on the back nine. Through two rounds, Lydon is placed seventh at 3-under-par. John Keba is placed 27th after finishing his second round with another even-par. Keba eagled on the 322-yard par-4 seventh hole and had a clean back 9 with a birdie on the par-4 11th hole.

Loyola Marymount is leading the field, shooting 15-under-par after the second round. Holy Cross shot a 12-under-par in the second round to erase the 11-over-par the team shot in the first round and jump eight spots on the leaderboard. The Dragons return to Torrey Pines for the third and final round of play on Tuesday, March 24.
