Police Monday sought the public’s help in locating a hit-and-run driver accused of causing a crash in the Elysian Park area that left a woman in her 30s severely injured.

The collision occurred about 3:05 p.m. Feb. 26, when a white hatchback traveling westbound on Elysian Park Drive toward Stadium Way made unsafe movements, causing a gray Toyota sedan traveling northbound on Stadium Way to swerve into oncoming traffic and collide with two vehicles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver of the white hatchback failed to stop and render aid and continued westbound on Elysian Park Drive, police said.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the injured woman to a hospital with severe injuries.

“Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves,” the police department said in a statement.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
